There is a long history of Italian wine making in the fall. We honour this tradition with Festa Dell'Uva - Grape Festival!
Every fall, Anna coordinates the grape order and has product shipped from California. (Thank you, Anna, we know it is a big job!) Once the grapes and juice arrive, they are sorted by grape type/juice to get ready for members to pick up, take home and make wine!
The Grape Festival is the celebration of this tradition, once the work is completed the festival begins!
We celebrate on Saturday, September 24. The evening starts with a 4 course served dinner: Appetizers, Lasagna, Veal Marsala/Salad, followed by dessert of Tiramisu. After dinner, we provide a live demonstration of wine making, we have all the equipment on display and we also provide an opportunity for folks to participate in crushing grapes the old fashioned way... barefoot!
After the demo is complete, the dance follows. Join us for this fantastic evening of celebration!
